Microsoft is hoping that Fable can once again make a splash during the holiday season. At their Spring Showcase, the company confirmed that Fable: The Journey will be arriving this autumn.
Fable: The Journey takes place five years after Fable III. Theresa and a Dweller are being chased by a mysterious force known as The Corruption. They must travel acros Albion and reach the magical tower known as The Spire. New screenshots, below, give us a glimpse at this adventure.
Unlike previous games in the series, Journey a first-person shooter. You use Kinect to cast various spells that defeat enemies. The game does feature an RPG-like progression system, though; dead enemies give you life force that you can use to unlock new spells.
This weekend an Xbox Live Arcade game called Fable Heroes was revealed. The co-op game will enable you to earn items for Journey. Presumably Heroes will be arriving in the fall as well.
