In a few weeks, Bethesda will re-release Fallout: New Vegas to stores. A new trailer provides an overview of what you'll get in the "Ultimate Edition" of Vegas.
New Vegas takes place four years after Fallout 3. It's set in the Mojave Wasteland, the apocalyptic remains of the southwestern United States. The New California Republic, one of the few forces of stability in the wasteland, is fighting bandits, slavers, gangsters and a massive tribal army known as Caesar's Legion for control of the region. The player becomes an unwitting pawn in this conflict after being ambushed during a simple courier job.
The game was developed by Obsidian Entertainment. Obsidian was founded by folks who designed the first two Fallout games. Expect plenty of references to those older titles.
The Ultimate Edition contains the full version of New Vegas along with all of the downloadable adventures released after its launch: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues and Lonesome Road. Two item packs, the Courier's Stash and Gun Runner's Arsenal, are included in the bundle as well.
The Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition will hit the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 on February 7th in North America. Europe will receive the package on the 10th.
