Find Out When You Can Finally Tackle Dungeons With Friends In The Latest Zelda Game

Nintendo finally revealed part of the release date for The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes on the Nintendo 3DS. European gamers will be able to get their hands on the title beginning October 23rd, 2015. Unfortunately no date has been set for North Americans.

The news comes courtesy of Gamespot who spotted the announcement from Nintendo's U.K., Twitter account where the promotional images were released containing the release date. You can check out the tweet below.

The release on October 23rd in Europe lands on a Friday. If we use the typical retail release date methodology that would mean that the game would arrive in North America earlier in the week on Tuesday. That would put the North American release of Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes on October 20th.

The game itself is another portable isometric adventure. It was announced during Nintendo's lackluster E3 Direct where it was accompanied by a few other titles, including the very explosive Metroid Prime: Federation Force.

Triforce Heroes obviously didn't garner the kind of hate that Federation Force did and there were no petitions asking Nintendo to stop developing the game or to see the return of the beloved heroine Samus Aran. Instead, gamers were a bit miffed that Nintendo would announce a brand new Legend of Zelda game without showing off anything of the highly anticipated open-world title for the Wii U.

Easily, The Legend of Zelda on the Wii U is one of the most anticipated games this generation across any console or platform. What little we've seen of the game shows a lot of promise and tons of potential. A lot of people were also amazed and stunned at the visual quality of the game being on the Wii U – although we should be used to that by now ever since Nintendo and Monolith Soft unveiled Xenoblade Chronicles X, another visually hard-hitting game for the Wii U.

Nevertheless, it looks like we'll be waiting until 2016 before we get more news about the open-world Zelda title. In the meantime you won't have to wait long to join three other friends in some puzzle-oriented adventuring with customization, lots of loot to uncover and bosses to face off against in The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes.

The game relies heavily on teamwork and cooperative play. Players will have to use their wits and their ability to work well with others to overcome a lot of the puzzles and obstacles that will be set before them. The game can also be played in a single-player mode with the companions turned into AI dolls that the player can move around with the touchscreen.

As mentioned, The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heores is set to launch this October for the Nintendo 3DS.
