In the weeks leading up to Forza Horizon's release, Turn 10 and Playground will release several behind-the-scenes videos. The first video, released today, introduces the creators and talks about the general premise behind the game.
Horizon is the first game in the series with an open-world structure. Players take on the role of racers at a "'Horizon Festival" in Colorado. They can freely wander the roads surrounding the festival and race against any competition they can find. In the process, they'll earn "Wristbands" that let them progress through the game.
This is the first game in the series not headed up by Turn 10. Instead, Playground Games is the main developer. Playground was founded by veterans of Codemasters and Bizarre Creations, two other UK-based devs known for racing titles.
Forza Horizon will hit the Xbox 360 on October 23rd.
