The demo for Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios collaboration Forza Horizon is now available through Xbox Live. This demo allows you to try out a few events from the full version of the open-world racing game.
Horizon centers around a fictional racing festival in Colorado. In the demo, you'll participate in races through the hilly roads of Colorado. You'll also compete in a street race over Finley Dam. Several cars will be playable in the demo, giving you a taste of the game's wide selection of vehicles.
Playing the demo will actually help you in the full game as well. Anyone who plays the demo and then buys the full game will unlock a custom 2013 SRT Viper GTS. This car will only be available to demo players.
For a closer look at the game, check out the latest behind-the-scenes video. It talks about the "action racing" at the heart of Horizon. You're not merely trying to win in this game - you're trying to look good while you're doing it too. Through skillful driving, players will earn more popularity as well as credits that can be spent on upgrades or new cars.
Horizon will arrive in stores on October 23rd. Over the next two weeks, Turn 10 and Playground will be announcing more and more of the cars available in the full version. All told, the game will ship with hundreds of vehicles.
