Crytek released the first video for their new graphics engine, CryEngine 3, today at Game Developers Conference. It makes us feel funny, like when we used to climb the rope in gym class.
Like most graphics engine demos, this video has the obligatory shots of splashing water and bending foliage. There's also some really awesome-looking footage of urban environments. Maybe we'll travel to this gorgeous urban sprawl in the next Crysis game.
CryEngine 3, announced earlier this month, can be used for DirectX 9/10, PS3, Xbox 360 and "future platforms". No games utilizing this new technology have been formally announced yet.
