GamersFirst Acquires Fallen Earth; Going Free-To-Play Soon

Reloaded Studios has really blossomed since the re-launch of APB: Reloaded. Due to the high success of Realtime Worlds’ MMO going free-to-play, GamersFirst has decided to expand the Reloaded Studios by bringing in the Fallen Earth team.
This means that G1 will have two extremely high-profile, triple-A games under their wings with Fallen Earth and All Points Bulletin being free-to-play titles under their North American and European publishing label.
As stated in the news alert…
Marie "Aro Sei" Croall and all the developers you know and love will now continue to develop Fallen Earth under the banner of Reloaded Productions while GamersFirst provides all publishing and technical services.
It will be very, very, very interesting to see how Fallen Earth adapts to the free-to-play model. The game wasn’t exactly setup for 12 year old punks to invade the wasteland. What’s more is that they’ll need to restructure the game to weed out spammers and hackers. Nevertheless, with one of the most unique and original MMOs going F2P it will certainly open up doors for more creativity within the genre if it meets the same success as APB: Reloaded.
We’ll keep you posted on further news and updates regarding the situation. In the meantime, how do you all feel about Fallen Earth going free-to-play?
