The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft is due to receive another batch of character skins. Skin Pack 2 will provide 45 additional skins, many of which are inspired by characters from high-profile Xbox 360 titles.
Five of the skins have been revealed thus far. Agent Level 5 (Crackdown 2), Joanna Dark (Perfect Dark), Damon Baird (Gears of War), Pretztail (Viva Pinata), and Bill (Left4Dead) have all been turned into blockish, pixelated ghouls for your amusement. They're easily recognizable if you step back a foot from your monitor and squint.
The first skin pack provided the same number of characters. It's priced at 180 MS Points ($2), so expect the same cost for this upcoming batch of skins. Also, if its predecessor is any indication, Skin Pack 2 will feature a smattering of lesser known Xbox 360 characters (maybe the special Infected from L4D?) as well as a few "generics."
Minecraft debuted on the Xbox 360 on May 9th. It's been a huge hit among 360 owners, with three million copies sold by July. It makes sense that Mojang and 4J Studios would release targeted DLC for this platform to cash in on this enthusiastic player base.
