Atari and Sony are joining forces to create a downloadable Ghostbusters game. Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is in development at Wanako for PSN, Xbox Live Arcade, and the PC.
According to USA Today, Sanctum is an isometric shooter for up to four players. They can team up locally or online to fend off ghosts. Players will have access to the usual Ghostbuster armaments, such as the plasma inductor, proton packs, and even the Ecto-3 vehicle.
One downside to the game is it won't feature the voices of Ghostbusters film stars Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, and Ernie Hudson. That's how things go in the downloadable game market, though. They want to produce a game cheaply so Hollywood voice talent is a no-no.
Sanctum is set to be released in Spring 2011.
