Gravity Rush 2 And Gravity Rush Remastered Coming To PS4
One of the PlayStation Vita’s standout exclusives is making the jump to a new platform in a big way as Sony announces the impending launch of Gravity Rush Remastered and Gravity Rush 2 for the PlayStation 4.
An early hit for the PlayStation Vita, Gravity Rush told the story of a young woman named Kat who, with the help of a mysterious old man, a peculiar cat and the ability to warp gravity, protected a floating city from total annihilation.
Gravity Rush takes place in an open world where the player has the ability to run and fly about freely, taking on side quests or tackling story missions along the way. Along with the multiple main branches of the city, Kat’s journey took her to some insane locations where the laws of reality barely apply.
Being a Vita title, though, many console gamers never had a chance to go on this free-falling adventure. That’s all about to change, as a recent announcement from Tokyo Game Show and the PlayStation Blog have confirmed that Gravity Rush Remastered will be bringing Kat and all of her oddball friends to the PlayStation 4 Feb. 10.
Along with the expected updated visuals and additional improvements courtesy of the PlayStation 4 hardware, Gravity Rush Remastered will also boast all three DLC packs that launched for the original game.
But that’s not where the Gravity Rush news ends, as the occasionally hinted at sequel has finally been made official.
Also coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4, Gravity Rush 2 will pick up where the first game left off, continuing Kat’s tale with even more high-flying antics. While no release date for the sequel has been announced, another Tokyo Game Show surprise this morning was the official trailer.

I still hold that the PlayStation Vita is a criminally overlooked console. Along with all of the nice social and multimedia bells and whistles, the console has hosted quite a few stellar titles, and continues to serve as home to some fantastic indie titles like the upcoming Super Meat Boy. Still, it’s nice to see folks getting a chance to play some of the console’s hits on other platforms. The same was recently done for the lovely Tearaway courtesy of Tearaway: Unfolded for the PS4, and it looks like Gravity Rush will be the next game to get that remastered treatment.
