Guild Wars 2 Racks Up One-Million Closed Beta Testers
NCSoft must be very, very, very happy. The upcoming MMO, Guild Wars 2, is entering into a series of beta events and the upcoming closed beta test for the game garnered more than one-million sign-ups.
ArenaNet and NCSoft kept things brief and simple, only sending out a notice saying that they had surpassed the one-million sign-up mark and that things are looking up for the game. According to the PR rep, the heavy response is in accordance with Guild Wars 2 innovative gameplay mechanics and philosophies and it's presumed that the mass amount of gamers willing to give the game a closed-beta test are anxious and excited about the new kinds of gameplay experiences that await them in the second Guild Wars.
While the game still maintains targeting based gameplay, the sequel to the popular instanced-based MMO game tosses in a number of new features, combat roles, enemies and the latest in graphical effects.
Now if you still want to get in on the beta unfortunately your 48 hours are up. However, if you'd just like to learn more about the game or keep up-to-date on all the happenings concerning Guild Wars 2 feel free to pay a visit to the Official Website.
