HellGate Returns To North America As Free-To-Play MMO On June 3rd
Repackaged, revamped and retuned to the sound of a free-to-play title, Hellgate is on the quest to once again enthrall, engage and entertain. Maybe this time it’ll last a little longer than it did before. Redbana, Hanbitsoft and T3 Entertainment have collaborated together to resurrect the highly original MMO and the game will be heading into closed beta testing between June 3rd and June 5th this year in North America.
It’s quite exciting that some games that barely got a chance in the spotlight before biting the dust are now being revived with a little bit of longevity under their wings this time. In the press release gamers were reminded that…
The microtransaction policy has really helped a bunch of other MMOs sustain during these rocky economic times and games such as Dungeons & Dragons Online and the Lord of the Rings Online had new life breathed into them thanks to the F2P turnaround.
I’m quite excited to see what they’ll do with Hellgate: London this time around, and if it’s anything like what Gamers First did with APB: Reloaded then gamers are in for a real treat. Now if only someone can resurrect Tabula Rasa…then life will be complete.
You can register for the upcoming beta of Hellgate by heading on over to the Official Website.
