How To Become Sasquatch In GTA 5

The peyote plants in GTA V allows players to experience some trippy moments in the game but one special, golden peyote plant will enable players to turn into the famed and mythical Sasquatch. What's more is that you don't even need a mod to make it happen.

Data miners have been tearing apart and looking through the data files of GTA V on PC and they found some interesting things. Over on Reddit user rkRusty was mapping through all the locations of the peyote plants.

While going through each location Rusty happened upon a golden peyote. He links to the location to an imgur album that shows exactly where on the map you must be to find it. It's located in the Southwest region of the Chiliad State Wilderness.

It turns out that during a certain time of the day, on a certain day, with certain weather conditions, eating the golden peyote will turn you into the legendary Sasquatch.

There are a few conditions that must be met in order for this to happen. You have to have completed the game at least once. You don't need to have 100% completion, you just need to have beaten GTA V.

The golden peyote only spawns on a Tuesday (in-game) between 5:30am to 8:00am. On PC the weather must be foggy but for Xbox One and PS4 owners it must be snowing.

You must have all 27 other peyotes and you must have spared the Sasquatch during “The Last One” mission.

If you complete these objectives and eat the golden peyote during the stated time, you'll be able to turn into a Sasquatch.

Rusty mentions that there's no trophy or achievement for unlocking this special secret, but it does add the “Wild Animal” actor to the director mode for home consoles. You can see the Sasquatch in action as a player-character with the video below from TwoDynamic.

It's funny because PC gamers and modded Xbox 360 and PS3 gamers just switch around the player models to play as whoever they want. In fact, modded console players have been running around doing all kinds of silly things as the Sasquatch since last year. Check out the video from GTA5Videos as they run around living off the daily life of a Sasquatch in the PS3 version of GTA V.

But now Xbox One and PS4 owners of GTA V can finally get in on the Sasquatch action without having to tear apart their console, buy the PC version of the game, or edit any of the game's files. You just have to eat a trippy plant on a mountain during a certain time of the day.

It's amazing that so long after GTA V's release people are still finding naturally tucked away secrets in the game.
