How To Join A Club In The Sims 4 Get Together
Back in December, The Sims 4 released a new expansion pack that focused on the theme of togetherness, and it was aptly titled The Sims 4 Get Together. And recently, The Sims released a trailer explaining how to best get into the club-making action with a sort of how-to video, but before we get to video, here’s how you can make the best of your experience in The Sims 4 Get Together.
The Sims 4 Get Together is the second expansion pack for The Sims 4 and includes things like a new European city to visit called Windenburg and new interactions and activities. But the main attraction in this expansion pack is the Clubs feature. First of all, a club in Sims 4 is defined as a group of 8 Sims or less who all have similar interests or goals. For example, the video uses the example of a club who are all obsessed with the outdoors, so they all like to do activities outside. The Get Together expansion pack allows you to choose from 11 different club themes, like the Rebels or the fashion-forward Paragons. It’s important to note that you can either choose an existing club, or you can create one of your own, too.
To create a club of your own, select the “Create a club” icon and it should bring up a window where you can enter the desired name of your club, choose its symbol and add requirements for joining. The symbol will appear above Sims heads when they are in a gathering. For requirements, you can choose to allow a certain age group, like Young Adults only, or allow people based on their traits or marital status. You can be as picky as the game will allow.
To narrow down the theme of your club, you can choose your club’s activities. For example, if you want to create a Foodie group, maybe some of your club’s activities are eating and cooking. You can also choose things your club isn’t allowed to do, which can be things like being mischievous or fighting.
As explained in the below video, club meetings can happen anywhere and at anytime in The Sims 4 Get Together. But make sure you’re on your toes because since you created the club, you will be the leader and in charge of driving the activities. If you follow along with your Club and do activities together, you can earn points that can be used to buy gameplay perks for your club, like skill bonuses, social bonuses and even secret club handshakes.
I’ve been playing The Sims series ever since the first game was released, so I am always looking to see what new things The Sims creators can pump out. I kind of fell out of playing it when life got pretty crazy for me, but every now and then I like to go back and pump up my Simoleans bank account and play for a few hours to destress. The Clubs feature feels a lot like creating a massive clique system and that’s something I’ve never really experienced in The Sims because, you take control of one person at a time and it’s really every man for himself. I would usually ignore people who try to befriend me. But to have a whole group of people following me around and waiting to do activities with me will be something new and interesting to try.
The expansion pack was actually released in December, but the trailer was released yesterday to give more insight into the Clubs experience. Watch the brief how-to video below to get an idea of how to start your club in The Sims 4 Get Together.
