How Star Wars Battlefront Will Use Boba Fett
Worried about how much control, how many gadgets and what sort of weapons will be at the disposal of Boba Fett in DICE's rendition of Star Wars: Battlefront? Well, some new details were released by EA and DICE explaining how the character can be played and what sort of equipment will be available in the game.
The news was posted up on the Star Wars: Battlefront blog, where they talk about what sort of weapons and arsenal will be at Fett's disposal in the game.
According to senior producer Jamie Keen...
Gamers will be able to fly around the arena to gain a height advantage on opponents, but there will be a limit on how much of the jetpack will be available to said gamers. Just like in Pandemic's Star Wars: Battlefront, Boba Fett's jetpack will have a limited amount of fuel so he'll only be able to fly in bursts and then it will have to recharge.
In Star Wars: Battlefront 2, however, Boba and Jango Fett were grossly outmatched by the Jedi and Sith in the game. The main problem was that the blasters hardly did any damage to the Jedi and characters like Obi Wan and Yoda could force pull enemies to them and there was almost nothing opponents could do to stop it or thwart it. Boba Fett did have access to his rockets, pistol, EE-3 Carbine, mines and the flamethrower but it was hardly a match for the Jedi – the weapons just did too little damage to them.
In this upcoming game it sounds like DICE at least configured it where Boba Fett can take down Jedi with some well placed shots, which makes sense. The whole point of playing as the Mandalorian is to utilize his deep cache of gadgets to out-maneuver and tactically outwit his opponents.
I can't wait to see two pro players going at it in Star Wars: Battlefront as a Jedi like Luke versus Boba Fett. If the gadgets are proper and there is a possibility of taking down foes who don't strategically block and dodge attacks then this could be one of the more fun games to play as the iconic bounty hunter from the Star Wars universe.

So far I haven't been terribly thrilled with Star Wars: Battlefront given that it still has far less content than Star Wars: Battlefront 2... but I do love me some Boba Fett, so we'll see how this pans out. According to Jamie Keen, playing as Fett will rely a lot on how his skills and cooldowns are balanced, stating...
Can we please get some footage of Boba Fett in action?
