The Incredible Adventures Of Van Helsing Gets Gameplay Trailer
Dr. Van Helsing may be best known for taking out Dracula, but it turns out the dude's son is responsible for killing far more creatures of the night than his dear old dad could have ever imagined. We're talking thousands upon thousands of vampires, werewolves, zombies and all sorts of other monstrosities. Don't believe me? Check out this latest gameplay trailer for The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing and see for yourself. I'll be accepting apologies for your doubting me in the comments section below.
The trailer is of a pre-alpha build of the game, but already The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is looking pretty impressive. Two main gameplay mechanics are on display here, including (lots and lots) of running and (lots and lots) of killing monsters. Dr. H's son has a wide variety of weapons at his disposal, including pistols, swords and all sorts of holy spells and items.
As you can see, we're basically looking at a Diablo clone here, but set in the world of the world's most famous vamp slayer. The dungeon on display is the foggy streets of the gothic city Borgovia, which has become overrun with hordes of countless baddies. I'm just going to take a stab in the dark and guess that other levels will include graveyards, cathedrals, crypts and castles.
Like the games that inspire it, Van Helsing will have players busily clicking away at the invading swarms of monsters while collecting useful items and equipment to prepare for the greater challenges ahead. Expect lots of loot and lots of ghouls howling into the night as they die a horrible death at the hands of Dr. Van Helsing's heir.
