The Incredible Adventures Of Van Helsing Trailer Spotlights Katarina

Van Helsing usually comes across as a loner but turns out he's actually more of a companion man, proven to be true with a brand new promo trailer from Neocore Games spotlighting Van Helsing's ghostly specter for a companion, Katarina.
As noted in the press release...
Lady Katarina is a ghost with snappy wit that comes to the support of Van Helsing on his supernatural hunt to uncover the mystery of a new scientific scourge in the land of Borgovia. Katarina is of great aid to Van Helsing as she comes with her own abilities and behaviors to boost the hunter’s hit points, mana, damage, and much more.
In addition to laying waste to enemies from up close or from afar, Katarina can also work as a middle-ground for getting rid of goods in the inventory, as she can sell stuff at shops for you since she's a ghost and all. How she teleports the items with her is beyond my knowledge of protoplasmic physics, but we'll just roll with it.
Anyway, the game itself is designed in a similar vein to Diablo III. It's an isometric hack-and-slash title that lets you hunt down monsters, blast enemies to pieces with dual pistols and unleash powerful magic attacks, similar to the upcoming Grim Dawn.
The game picked up quite a bit of steam during the whole Diablo III debacle and the game is scheduled to release during the latter half of May for only $14.99. You can learn more by paying a visit to the game's official website.
