Injustice: Gods Among Us Trailer Introduces Red Son Campaign Mode
NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros unleashed a new developer diary for the upcoming fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us. The video showcases part of the new campaign challenge modes that takes on an alternate look at what would have happened had Superman been born under the communist regime of Soviet Russia.
The really neat part about this feature is that it's not just a straight-through arcade-style ladder mode. Nope, instead players will have to partake in various challenges and face off against select heroes/villains, including fighting in a beat 'em up style arcade mini-game. Check it out below.
I'm digging it.
I always enjoyed the extra challenge features in fighting games like King of Fighters, where completing various tasks unlocked additional characters, colors or other extras. It always makes the game feel more complete and rewarding for the player to complete those challenges.
Unfortunately for Injustice: Gods Among Us, the extra missions and costumes will be pre-order bonus DLC. So if you don't pre-order you'll have to buy the missions at an extra cost postmortem of the game's launch.
