Is a new Just Cause game coming out this year? It may be, according to a tweet from Avalanche Studios Christofer Sundberg. He has released an image that looks like it might be Just Cause 3.
"We're making awesome games at #avalanchestudios! This year will be awesome! #yearoftheavalanche," tweeted Sundberg.
The attached image seems to show a man driving a motorcycle with a sidecar. At the same time, he's also kicking a man off of the cycle. That seems like the sort of high-speed acrobatics that Just Cause hero Rico Rodriguez is famous for. The old-timey motorcycle confuses me a bit, though. Is he in a really backwards country, or is this a Just Cause prequel starring someone else?
Just Cause 3 was never formally announced. However, the game's development was rumored back in 2011. Publisher Square Enix added some fuel to the fire by registering website domains for Just Cause 3 and Just Cause 4 last spring.
Sundberg's tweet seems to indicate that this unknown game will be coming out in 2013 - or it least it'll be announced. We shouldn't have to puzzle over this mystery much longer, then.
