Killzone, the PlayStation 2 shooter that launched the popular franchise, is about to make a comeback. Sony will be re-releasing the game through PSN on January 24th.
First word of the re-release came from the ESRB. The ratings board created a new listing for the game for the PS3 - generally a sign of a PSN resurrection. Game Informer confirmed the news with Sony this afternoon.
Don't expect a remastered version of the game, though. Sony told GI that this is simply a port of the PS2 title. That probably rules out any new features or tweaks.
Killzone will cost $9.99 to download.
