Rockstar Games removed some of mystery from their detective thriller L.A. Noire today. They've sent out brand new screenshots as well as information about the plot.
L.A. Noire takes place in Los Angeles in 1947. The city is booming and Hollywood has entered a Golden Age. However, everything wasn't as perfect as it appeared. Crime was spiraling out of control and police corruption was at an all-time high.
The player takes on the role of Cole Phelps, a World War II veteran and new detective in the Los Angeles Police Department. As you solve cases (based on real crimes from that time period), you rise through the department ranks. Eventually you'll come into conflict with some of the city's most powerful and wicked criminals.
Rockstar expects L.A. Noire to be released in early 2011 for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
