Sunday night brought a whole lot of fresh details on The Last of Us. Naughty Dog released the official box art for their PS3 exclusive. They also announced the pre-order DLC for the game, which in turn provided some clues on the game's multiplayer.
Participating retailers will give pre-order customers the Sights and Sounds Pack. This bundle includes a dynamic theme for your PS3 based on the game's cover art, as well as PSN avatars for Winter Joel and Winter Ellie. The Sight and Sounds Pack also features the game's official soundtrack.
GameStop pre-order customers will also get the Survival Pack. This provides you with bonus experience points and cash for multiplayer. Expect to receive two bonus skins, a melee attack booster, and special items for online play as well.
This is the most we've heard about the game's multiplayer thus far. Naughty Dog isn't ready to divulge any other details but they promise they will soon. They've got plenty of time, as Last of Us won't be out until May 7th.
A new Last of Us trailer aired during the Spike VGAs on Friday. If you haven't checked it out yet, you really ought to.
