The demo for Naughty Dog's The Last of Us is still a ways away. The developer revealed today that the trial version of their PS3 exclusive will be arriving at the end of May.
God of War: Ascension owners will get early access to the demo. The in-game menu of Ascension features a countdown menu for the demo's release. IGN crunched the numbers and realized that the countdown will end on May 31st at 9 am PST.
Naughty Dog confirmed via Twitter that the demo will be available for Ascension gamers on May 31st. The full game is due on June 14th. That gives those players a good amount of time to putz around with the demo.
It's not clear how long the early demo access for God of War: Ascension owners will last. We'll probably have to wait awhile to find out. After all, Sony is using the promise of early access as a purchase incentive for Ascension. That incentive would be blunted if players knew that they could get the demo just a few days later by not buying that game.
