The North American and European League of Legends Championship Series qualifiers are now over. The best eight teams in each territory will start battling each other on a weekly basis on February 7th as part of the MOBA's third season of competitive play.
Each team in the competition will play four games against the other teams in their territory. The first half of the season will conclude on April 20th. During the mid-season break, these teams will participate in separate tournaments to earn prizes and a spot in the second half of the season. Top amateur players will have an opportunity to take their spot in the season.
The second half of the season starts on June 1st and ends on August 31st. The participating teams will play four games apiece against their seven divisional rivals. The top six teams in each division will move onto the World Championships.
Fans throughout the world can watch Season 3's action for no charge. The broadcasts will be available in HD and will happen live. The coverage will include analysis and interviews.
