Leviathan Warships Launches With An Even Sexier Trailer
The original trailer for Leviathan Warships from Paradox Interactive gave us a mighty fine look at the nautical warfare game with plenty of sexy sails, rudders and explosive encounters on display. The second trailer that celebrates the launch of the game brings even more panache to the table with everyone's favorite musically inclined naval commentator, Jazzy Boatman.
Paradox Interactive has really found a great way to market this budget-priced naval strategy game, which clocks in at the very reasonable price of $9.99. The game sees players taking on a fleet of armed up seafaring warships in tactical real-time combat. Of course, a strategy game wouldn't be complete without all the nerdy accoutrements to deck out your navy warfighters with some awesome armament and shielding.
In addition to allowing players to pursue a single-player campaign, the game also sports a four-player cooperative and competitive mode, so friends of smaller budget titles like this can play and enjoy the experience together.
I really like Paradox Interactive's approach to marketing this game, it's just so smart. The small scale videos have the potential to go viral and it's mostly because of the small touches of cleverness tossed in to give them some flair of originality and personality that's oftentimes lacking from the AAA generic blockbuster games from all the familiar faces in the top-tier publishing ring.
You can learn more about Leviathan Warships by paying a visit to the official website. The game is available right now for PC and will become available later this week for mobile tablets.
