Listen To Legend Of Zelda Theme In 10 Different Styles
A YouTuber named Husky By The Geek recently released a video covering the theme from The Legend of Zelda in 10 different guitar styles. He transitions to each style very smoothly and without any breaks, so it's pretty cool both watching the video and listening to it.
The list of the styles include: Rock, funk-rock, punk, bossa nova, power-metal, jazz, metalcore, heavy metal, hardcore and acoustic.
I really wanted to hear more of the bossa nova, jazz and acoustic. Those were pretty slick. Husky By The Geek has an entire channel dedicated to this kind of stuff, remixing popular tunes from video games. If you thought his above mixed melody jam of the theme of Legend of Zelda was cool, you should check out his remix for “The Song of Storms”, another popular song from the iconic adventure series.
This guy doesn't just shred it up and tear it down on Zelda. He has a collection of really awesome rock remixes for popular series like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and even Super Smash Bros.
One of my personal favorites from his collection is the Esaka Hero theme from King of Fighters '96. This was the theme for Kyo, Benimaru and Goro. Amazing how the times have changed but those are still three of the strongest characters in the series, eh? You can check out Husky's remix for that song below.
I'm kind of shocked that Husky By The Geek doesn't have more subscribers. Apparently he still needs that one big song that goes mega-viral, similar to the ones from Lindsay Sterling, the accomplished violinist who has a bustling YouTube channel with various song covers from popular games and pop titles.
Then again, it may be tough to break through all the noise when just about everyone and their mother has a cover for the theme song from The Legend of Zelda. It's easily one of the most recognizable theme songs out there in all of media.

This comes at a time when Nintendo is starting to engage with their audience in a different way and branching out their brands into different genres (e.g., Hyrule Warriors) as they attempt to grow their presence in the gaming and media market. The extra hype Husky By The Geek receives for his Zelda remix is just extra hype for Nintendo's upcoming release of The Legend of Zelda for the Wii U. Let's just hope the game can live up to the hype.
You can purchase Husky's original soundtrack called “Sleeping With Wolves” from his Bandcamp page. The newest Zelda title is due for release exclusively on the Wii U later this year.
