Today CI Games revealed more about their hardcore RPG Lords of the Fallen. They've sent out the first image of main character Harkyn and provided a few basic details on him.
Lords of the Fallen, in development for PC and next-gen consoles, depicts a fantasy world with a deity known as the Fallen God. The supporters of this God and the rebels against his rule have been locked in a long war. Harkyn is an outcast and rebel with the ability to end this conflict permanently.
The exact specifics of Harkyn are up to the player. They can customize him across several skill trees to suit their play style. CI previously stated that the storyline will be altered by player choices as well.
“Harkyn is not your ordinary hero. Our team is committed to creating a distinct character and a gameplay experience unique to every player, as well as a deep, secretive history that players will be rewarded for upon discovering. We’re excited to show Lords of the Fallen , our main character, Harkyn, and the advanced combat mechanics for the first time at E3 next week,” said Tomasz Gop, executive producer. Gop previously served as producer on Witcher 2 so expect a lot of comparisons between the games.
The first gameplay footage from Lords will be shown at E3. The gameplay demo will demonstrate the combat and also provide further insight into Harkyn's story.
