Mars War Logs Combat Trailer Combines Mass Effect And Batman

Focus Home Interactive is a mid-budget publisher and they've been focusing on some fairly unique games, similar to Kalypso Media. The latest game from Focus Home Interactive is a third-person, beat-e'm-up RPG made in a similar vein to both Mass Effect and Rocksteady's Batman games. You can't go wrong with that...right?
FHI released a new combat trailer for the game that details how players can use technomancy, guns, stealth and good old fashioned fisticuffs to beat, zap, shoot and blow the crap out of anyone who gets in your way. Check it out below.
Some gamers were impressed, others weren't.
I think for a mid-budget title this seems to work. It reminds me a little bit of Red Faction and Anachronix fused together. I'm also impressed with how the weapon and armor upgrades actually show up on the character. That will definitely add a bit of replay and loot-scavenging depth to the gameplay.
Mars War Logs is set for release this spring on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and as a digital download for PC. If what you viewed above has tickled your fancy just even by a bit, feel free to learn more about the game by paying a visit to the Official Website.
