
You knew it, we knew it, everybody knew it - BioWare is making a sequel to Mass Effect. However, now they've finally made it official by releasing the first teaser trailer.
The one-minute video really does put the "tease" in "teaser." No gameplay footage of any kind is shown. Just shots of main character Commander Shepard's armor with little HUD panels on-screen popping up listing his accomplishments, known associates, etc. Then, at the end, it says that his status is "killed in action." Then camera then pulls up to reveal that a geth, a member of the evil robot army from the first game, is wearing his armor.
It doesn't mention what platforms it will be released on so the debate will continue to rage about that issue. The only concrete thing we know from a gameplay standpoint is that you can import your saved files from the original. To accompany the trailer, BioWare also revealed a couple pieces of concept art which you can check out below.
