BioWare will be hosting another multiplayer event for Mass Effect 3 this weekend. Operation Resurgence encourages players to download and play the free Resurgence Pack DLC released earlier in the week.
The Resurgence Pack adds two new maps and six unlockable characters to ME3's co-op mode. Additionally, reward packs now have a chance to contain four new weapons and four new consumables.
All players who have the Resurgence Pack and play it during this weekend will get a Reserves Pack. This pack is guaranteed to contain one of the six new classes. Furthermore, all matches on the two maps included with the expansion (Firebase: Condor and Firebase: Hydra) will award 10% more experience than usual.
"This Operation is currently available to Xbox 360 and PC users only, and will run from Friday, April 13th at 5PM PST to Monday, April 16th 5AM PST," says BioWare. "Unfortunately, we are not yet able to offer our Multiplayer Challenge weekends on PlayStation 3. Sony has not yet approved the promotion. We continue to work with them to find a compromise, but until then, Sony will not allow us to run the same Multiplayer Challenges on the PlayStation 3 that we run on Xbox 360 and PC."
As usual, you'll need to enable "Upload Gameplay Feedback" in your options menu in order to participate in this Challenge Weekend.
