BioWare announced today that they're going to sell a single bundle of all three Mass Effect games. The Mass Effect Trilogy will be available this fall on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
The Mass Effect series stars Commander Shepard, a simple Alliance soldier who becomes the savior of the galaxy. He stumbles upon an ancient alien race known as the Reapers who are intent on wiping out all sentient life and vows to stop them. Over the course of the trilogy, Shepard recruits an elite team, battles a variety of unsavory characters, and sleeps with an alien or two.
The Trilogy Pack provides you with the full versions of Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. BioWare doesn't mention whether they'll be including the DLC for any or all of these games. Considering how new Mass Effect 3 still is, I assume that game's DLC won't be part of the bundle at any rate.
This bundle should be especially gratifying to PS3 owners. That console never received the first ME before. ME1 is not only included in the Trilogy bundle but also being released as a standalone game through PSN.
The Mass Effect Trilogy will hit stores on November 6th for $59.99. The next day, BioWare will host the first-annual N7 Day. N7 Day is meant as a worldwide celebration of the series, complete with in-game, live and online festivities. More details will be released soon.
