Microsoft will be releasing four high-profile Xbox Live Arcade games back-to-back this spring. The month of new games, dubbed Arcade NEXT, will kick off on April 18th with the launch of Trials Evolution.
Trials Evolution is the sequel to stunt bike game Trials HD. Players must traverse obstacle-filled courses as quickly as they can. An in-game editor allows players to create their own track and share them with others.
In Bloodforge, players take on the role of a lone warrior facing against the gods and their followers. The warrior, Crom, is fortunately no slouch and can defeat hordes of enemies using special Rune attacks and brutal combos. He can also perform Rage Kills, which sound painful. Bloodforge is due on April 25th.
Fable Heroes, arriving on May 2nd, is a co-op hack-and-slash game based on the Xbox 360 exclusive Fable series. Players team up to defeat enemies and collect gold coins. These coins can then be used in Fable: The Journey, the Kinect-enabled game that will be released this fall.
Arcade NEXT will be completed by Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition on May 9th. This port of the open-world building game sports a new crafting interface, control scheme, and tutorial mode. It also supports split-screen multiplayer.
Trials Evolution and Bloodforge are both priced at 1200 MS Points ($15). Fable Heroes will cost 800 Points ($10. MineCraft is, unsurprisingly, the big ticket item and will set you back 1600 Points ($20).
