Mortal Kombat Digital Media Series To Star Michael Jai White, Jeri Ryan

Some fans thought Kevin Tancharoen’s fan-made short film for Mortal Kombat was sacrilege, others thought he was re-inventing the series for today’s generation. Either way you look at it Kevin will be back in the director’s seat for a series of new digital shorts starring Jeri Ryan and Michael Jai White as Sonya and Jax, with Warner Bros overseeing the project.
Director, Producer and Co-Writer of the new series, Kevin Tancharoen, commented in the press release, saying…
“It’s extremely gratifying to have such talented actors playing these iconic roles,” … “Mortal Kombat.” “They will bring the essence of ‘Mortal Kombat’ to life and gamers will be deeply immersed into the game’s universe.”
Filming of the new digital shorts is already underway in Vancouver and are planned for digital release this spring to accompany the April 19th release of the revived Mortal Kombat video game for the Xbox 360 and PS3. You can learn more about the project by heading on over to the Official Website.
