Namco Bandai is providing players with an opportunity to contribute to SoulCalibur V. They want help designing the CPU opponents for the upcoming fighting game.
The application form asks you to specify a name, nationality and gender for your character. You're also asked what character from the franchise has a weapon style that would best suit your own character. Hell, you can even pick Yoda or Darth Vader, both of whom appeared in SoulCalibur IV.
The application closes with a brief personality test for your character. It features questions like "Ivy is closing in on you! What do you do?" and "Nightmare and Siegfried are facing off at an abandoned castle. Who do you help?" They also slip in a couple marketing research questions like, "Out of the characters who have appeared in previous games, who would you like to see in the next game?" and "If you could say one thing to Director Daishi, what would it be?"
Namco is accepting entries from now until August 5th. If your brain is overflowing with ideas, note that you can make multiple entries. On the entry form, Namco also notes that you shouldn't make a character name that infringes on trademarks/copyrights (that means you, Darksephiroth) or is in someway offensive - Darksephiroth and Diklikker probably aren't going to make the cut. They sound like fierce opponents, though.
SoulCalibur V is in development for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Project Soul is targeting a January 2012 release.
