Today Sony Computer Entertainment America confirmed reports that Netflix will be coming to the PS3. The streaming movie service is expected to be available starting next month.
To make use of the service, you'll need a standard $8.99 Netflix subscription. This plan will allow you to both receive DVD's in the mail through Netflix and watch streaming television episodes and films through your PS3. Like normal Netflix, the PS3 movie service will only be available in North America.
Initially, you'll need a "free instant streaming disc" to access Netflix through your PS3. The discs will be delivered by first-class mail for free when available. You can sign up here to be notified via e-mail when the service goes live.
