One of the new features planned for the New Xbox Experience, the overhaul of Xbox Live set to debut on November 19th, is a streaming movie rental service from Netflix. To prepare for the launch of the online Netflix service, Microsoft has been quietly including free trial cards in new releases.
According to BusinessofVideo.com, the Xbox 360 version of Bond shooter Quantum of Solace came with a card offering 48-hour free trial to the Netflix service. Judging by the picture, it's the standard 48-hour Xbox Live Gold trial card with an extra code for a Netflix trial.
Obviously, you won't be able to try out the Netflix service until November 19th but you may as well start trying to stock up on these free trials now. Quantum of Solace can't be the only game that comes with it. Gears of War 2 seems like a likely place to find one of the free trial cards, as it's a Xbox 360 exclusive and should have an Xbox Live Gold trial card anyway. We'll see in a couple days.
