Neverending Nightmares Is Coming To PS4 And PS Vita
If you’ve ever wondered what nightmares are truly made of, Neverending Nightmares gives you a glimpse into that darkness. Decorated with a dark and pen-like sketch, the game tackles an art style that looks like it’s straight out of an illustrated Stephen King novel. And just yesterday, creator Matt Gilgenbach of Infinitap Games announced that the game was officially coming to PS4 and PS Vita the second quarter of this year.
Neverending Nightmares is more than just an atmospheric horror game. Gilgenbach desribed it as,
Neverending Nightmares tells the story of the sickly and fearful Thomas who awakes from a nightmare, but then the player learns that Thomas is actually trapped in a number of different nightmares and the only way to escape the nightmares is to get Thomas to wake up.
What makes Neverending Nightmares cool is depending on the choices you make in the game, a different choice might lead you into a different nightmare, upping the replay value. It’s cool to see this decision-based narrative style really taking hold on the gaming industry right now, because as I’ve stated before, it’s a great tool to really make the game worthwhile—and replayable.
There isn’t a definite release date yet, but all that we know is the game will be releasing sometime this year. If you want to learn more about the game, you can head on over to the Kickstarter page and keep up to date with the game’s progress. You can also check out the trailer for the game below.
