Perfect World Entertainment brought their upcoming free-to-play MMORPG Neverwinter with them to PAX Prime. A new trailer shows off one of the many adventures players can embark on.
The trailer tells the tale of Blackdagger, a pirate who terrorized the Sword Coast for many years. He was thought to be killed in a volcanic eruption. However, he and his crew soon returned and started their marauding anew. Players will journey into his keep to defeat Blackdagger and his minions.
Neverwinter allows players to partake in quests in and around the city of Neverwinter in the Forgotten Realms setting of Dungeons and Dragons. They'll be able to create a character from a selection of races and classes. The game also provides players with a Foundry toolset so they can build their own adventures.
Perfect World intends to launch the game in early 2013. It will be free-to-play, which sort of makes up for the slightly behind-the-curve visuals here.
