Nintendo Downloads: Kirby's Dreamland, Final Fantasy III
If you’re a fan of the classic era of JRPGs and old-school platforming games then you’ll get a real kick out of this week’s offerings from the Big ‘N’. The new eShop, DSiWare, WiiWare and the Virtual Console all received some casual goodies as well as fan-favorite titles from the yesteryears of gaming.
Virtual Console:
The North American version of Final Fantasy III is being released on the Virtual Console, even though technically it’s Final Fantasy VI in terms of story continuity (taking into account that in North America Final Fantasy II is actually Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy V is still Final Fantasy V). Hailed as the greatest Final Fantasy in the series, the game features one of the greatest cast of characters in any RPG to date and has both an engaging and entertaining storyline.
Nintendo eShop & DSiWare:
If old-school classics don’t float your boat then maybe you pledged allegiance to the wrong console maker. The eShop and DSiWare have both received Moto eXtreme, an over-the-top motorcycle racing game, as well as Kirby’s Dreamland, Boardwalk Ball Toss and Hearts Spades Euchre.
The Lost Town – The Dust is available exclusively on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS, and Big Town Shootout is also available exclusively for the WiiWare platform.
Of course, you can check out a complete listing of all the available games released this week across various Nintendo platforms by heading on over to the Official Nintendo Website.
