Pirates Of New Horizons Gameplay Overview Trailer
Exit Strategy Entertainment released a new trailer for Pirates of New Horizons , a platforming adventure game similar to Psychonauts, with tons of new gameplay features on display.
The game is a throwback to classic 3D platforming titles that were all the rave during the PSOne and N64 era. Gamers can vertically scale environments, slide around on lines and explore caves, coves and a number of colorfully unique levels. I like the feeling of nostalgia this game carries with it, as it's not the sort of genre that's all too popular in most gaming circles these days.
It's nice to see indie devs have been going over and beyond to provide unique experiences for gamers and it's thoroughly appreciated. It's just too bad we no longer get these kind of games from top-tier publishers anymore, with the exception of Nintendo of course.
If you're keen on playing a game like this, which mirrors old-school classics like Pandemonium or Pitfall 3D, feel free to learn more over at the Official Website. There's also a brief Unity demo available to check out the actual gameplay. Pre-orders are also online for those of you who know that you want to buy the game right now.
