Sony Online Entertainment has updated the official website for their massive multiplayer online first-person shooter PlanetSide 2. The right-hand side of the site now has a sign-up form for the beta.
To sign up, you'll need to log onto your SOE Station Account or make a new one. There's no questionnaire to fill out. You just have to read a beta license agreement (or pretend to) and say that you agree to it.
"Should you be selected and choose to participate in the Beta testing, everything associated with this game testing is considered confidential information, and you may not discuss it with anyone except other players through the PlanetSide 2 Beta game testing forum only," reads the sign-up page. A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is pretty standard for beta tests, if you're not aware.
If you're accepting for the beta, SOE will send an e-mail to the address linked to your SOE account. No word on when this beta might begin, though. It's also not clear what sort of PC you'll need to run the game.
PlanetSide 2 was officially announced in July. Its release window has yet to be announced.
