Project Awakened Is The Greatest Super Hero Game You May Not Get To Play
Time is winding down for Phosphor Games Kickstarter project, Project Awakened. The game is one of the most ambitious projects ever in the world of video game design and it's such a shame that they're barely halfway to their Kickstarter even though this is one of those projects that desperately needs to make it onto the marketplace.
The game enables players to create the kind hero, villain, soldier, spy, assassin that suits your play style. You like being stealthy and want a James Bond type of character? No problem. You want to be a mercenary for hire, armed to the teeth with an assortment of firearms? Completely doable. How about the ability to bend space and make use of pyrotechnics? All possible in Project Awakened.
Unfortunately, the Kickstarter has less than 10 days to make $315,000. I'm not saying it's not possible but some serious Double Fine-style dollar-bill donations would have to be made in order to hit the goal within the time frame.
The biggest problem is that poor Project Awakened just isn't getting the media spotlight it needs, which is very unfortunate.
I would love to see this sort of project get Kickstarted, and hopefully they can extend the deadline to make it happen, because if gamers only knew that the project existed I'm pretty sure there are a lot of gamers who would be willing to donate.
You can learn more about Project Awakened or donate if you have the money and drive, by visiting the Official Kickstarter Page.
