Project Awakened Trailer Features Panda With A Baseball Bat And Giant Enemy Crabs
After the Kickstarter promotion went bust, Phosphor Game Studios decided to regroup and rethink their strategy for getting their game out there – a game where you can create your own hero, your own villain, your own world. To help get that point across with their new crowd-sourced campaign, the team released a video featuring various ways to mod the game.
I'm thrilled and excited about this project but it seems to have hit a bit of a bump in the road at the $54,000 mark. The team has a much smaller goal and now has $195,000 left on the plate until the basic version of Project Awakened can be developed.
I like how in the video there's a lot of different examples for the kind of game experiences the project can provide...from stealth-oriented, urban infiltration missions, to zombie battles in alleyways and classic, traditional, historically accurate battles in Feudal Japan featuring giant enemy crabs with machine guns.
I like what Phosphor Games is bringing to the table and hopefully they'll be able to fund their project in the next 24 days. Seems like a bit of an uphill struggle but maybe gaming media will take notice of it once more and give it a bit of a boost?
