Slightly Mad Studios wasn't the one to release this week's screenshot cache for the highly impressive simulation racing game, Project CARS, instead the screenshots come courtesy of a GTA IV modder named Gionight, thanks to DSO Gaming and they are so amazing looking they just might make you explode.
Previously I called this game the "Crysis of racing games" because it's just so remarkably gorgeous. The graphics are practically rivaled by nothing else out there right now, except for maybe Assetto Corsa.
Nevertheless, Project CARS is coming along very nicely. The screenshots of the prototype cars looks so amazing and the differed lighting, the motion-blur, the reflection depth, it all just looks so, so, so unbelievably good.
It's also very impressive how the dirt that kicks up onto the cars is subtle enough to almost give the impression that you're literally looking at real-life and not a PC racing sim. I'm also very curious how this game is going to look on the home consoles this fall. I still can't wrap my head around the idea that this will be on the Xbox 360 and PS3. But then again, even without AAA publishers Slightly Mad Studios has proven that they can make an AAA looking game.
