Is your computer built to endure the apocalypse? Bethesda released the minimum and recommended system requirements for first-person shooter RAGE today. Check them out to find out whether your PC can survive the 21st century wasteland.
Minimum:
- OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or Equivalent AMD
- Memory: 2GB
- Hard Disk Space: 25GB
- Video Card: GeForce 8800, Radeon HD 4200
Recommended:
- OS: Win XP SP3, Vista, Win 7
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad or Equivalent AMD
- Memory: 4GB
- Hard Disk Space: 25GB
- Video Card: GeForce 9800 GTX, ATI Radeon HD 5550
Another requirement not mentioned above is that you'll need Steam. It's not exactly a hard requirement to fulfill but seemed worth pointing out for the five of you who don't use Steam due to some odd moral objection. RAGE utilizes Steamworks in order to provide gamers with Achievements, VOIP, and Friends support.
RAGE takes place in the near future. An asteroid impact has all but wiped out human civilization. A small number of people survive by hiding in "Arks" underneath the surface. They emerge years after the impact to find the world transformed into a harsh wasteland where struggling settlements are under constant attack by mutants, bandits and other threats.
Bethesda will release RAGE on October 4th in North America and on the 7th in Europe.
