On December 18th, Capcom will release the first post-launch downloadable content for Resident Evil 6. These DLC packs are timed exclusives for the Xbox 360 and will add new multiplayer modes to the survival horror game.
Predator and Survivors are both suited for 2-6 players. In Predator, one player takes on the role of a B.O.W. Ustanak and hunts down the other players. Survivors mode also lets players take on the role of B.O.W.'s and hunt human players. Each human player killed will respawn as a B.O.W., until there's only one player left.
The most entertaining DLC mode appears to be Onslaught, though. In Onslaught, two players independently fight off waves of enemies. By pulling off combos, you'll cause extra enemies to spawn in your opponent's game. The game ends when one player dies. It sounds like a fun twist on the usual Horde mode.
PS3 gamers might have to wait longer for the DLC but they still have something to look forward to in the short term. Both the PS3 and 360 will receive a free update that adds a new difficulty level. It also provides new camera options and a co-op partner for the Ada Wong campaign.
Each game mode will cost 320 MS Points, or $4. If you want to buy all three, you can save a bit of money by getting the 720 MS Points ($9) bundle.
