Rumor: Batman Game In Development For XBLA
Rumors are oftentimes sketchy at best in the world of interactive gaming. However, an industry insider has revealed that something big could be hitting the Xbox Live Arcade, in the form of a new Batman game. According to XBLA Fans they received a tip that Warner Bros Interactive is working on a new Batman game separate from Rocksteady's Arkham City, for the Live Arcade.
This news comes shortly after UK retail sites mistakenly listed Batman Gotham City Imposters, however many believe this is just in relation to the comic mini-series, Batman: Imposters.
Of course, this could be nothing-news but there is the likelihood of this holding some weight given that Batman is really hot property and the final Christopher Nolan film, The Dark Knight Rises, is set to release in 2012. It would only make sense if a game, even for XBLA, launched with the movie.
We’ll keep you posted on any new information regarding the story. In the meantime, you can learn more about the Dark Knight Rises right here at Cinema Blend.
