Back in July, EA CEO John Riccitiello confirmed in an interview that an MMORPG based on the single-player PC/Xbox RPG series Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was in the works. There's been no official word on the project from developer BioWare but that might change soon.
According to CVG, British tabloid Daily Star has claimed that it's headed to San Francisco to file an "exclusive report" on the KOTOR MMO soon. Why San Francisco, if the game's being developed at BioWare's Austin office? I assume they're headed to EA's office out in Redwood City, California. Worth repeating that this is a tabloid, though, so don't get your hopes up.
At this point everyone knows BioWare's working on the project and they know that we know so let's raise the curtain already. C'mon, you don't need substantial development progress to announce games. We're living in the Age of the Teaser Trailer! Just shoot off a vague press release along with a piece of concept art and let the fanboys run with the baton.
