Killzone 3's launch will provide Sony with an opportunity to promote another first-party shooter. Buying KZ3 will earn you access to SOCOM 4's multiplayer beta.
PSN codes for beta access will be included in both the Standard and Helghast Editions of KZ3. Copies with a code inside will have a SOCOM 4 logo on the cover. Presumably all the first-run copies will have beta codes, which should encourage shooter fans to either pre-order KZ3 or at least pick it up soon after its February 22nd release.
The start date for SOCOM 4's beta has yet to be announced. Last we heard, the military shooter was set for an April release. If that's still true, the beta will probably kick off in March.
