SSX Now Available For Xbox 360, PS3
EA Sports' revitalized take on the popular downhill snowboarding game, SSX, has finally come to fruition and the game is now out and about at a local retailer near you for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3.
The game has been receiving quite a bit of promotional assets over the past couple of weeks leading up to its release, showcasing some of the game's more unique aspects and original forms of gameplay, such as the ability to race against friends even when they aren't online. That's pretty cool, right?
Dean Richards, General Manager, Team & Action Sports at EA Sports commented in the press release about the game's availability, saying...
You don't have to play the game to know it's still SSX. I know a lot of people have been leery about remakes, reboots and redos lately *cough*XCOM/Syndicate*cough* but SSX is one of those games where a lot of attention and mechanics are completely and entirely reminiscent of the original game, giving gamers over-the-top snowboarding action, unparalleled downhill racing and some of the most outrageous mountains to shred.
Also, as mentioned above, SSX sports a fully fleshed out multiplayer with various modes and competitions available, including the ability to race a track, save a ghost and then have that ghost compete against your friends when you're not online. It definitely adds a lot to the competitive nature of the game and, in my opinion, it's definitely a step up from the more numbers-oriented Autolog feature from the Need for Speed games.
You can pick up a copy of SSX right now for the Xbox 360 or PS3. The game is available for $59.99 and is rated 'E' for Everyone. For more info feel free to visit the Official Website.
